Amada Regis 3015AJ 12Kw Fiber Laser
The all new REGIUS Fiber laser is at the absolute top of the Fiber laser market. The high-speed linear drive system is unmatched in our market. Combine that amazing traverse speed with AMADA’s original Variable Beam Control Technology and the new 12KW oscillator allows the REGIUS to provide unmatched productivity with speed, accuracy, and machine utilization that will take some beating.
Its ability to process a large range of different materials and thicknesses will be put to good use at Hi-Tech Metals. The REGIUS also has a number of new features to support autonomous operation such as lens monitoring, collision recovery, and automatic nozzle change & the nozzle centre function is impressive.
We can’t wait to release this bad boy into the Auckland market. The future is coming fast.
Bystronic 12KW Bystar Fiber Laser
The next generation in laser technology is here! The Bystronic 12kw ByStar redefines laser cutting in the modern era. It is one of the most powerful lasers in the world and Hi-Tech was proud to be the first company in New Zealand to install the powerful 12kw machine.
It most certainly sets a new level of quality and speed with proven results showing it to have the fastest cutting speed over other fibre laser cutting machines.
Folding & Pressing Machines
Amada pressbrakes are quite simply the best. We have been fortunate to travel the world viewing some really great machines and there has been nothing that has tempted us to change brands.
The flexibility, accuracy and speed of the Amada machines are a perfect fit for Hi-Tech Metals.
In 2005 Hi-Tech was proud to be the first company in New Zealand to install the HDS series pressbrake. At the time the HDS was one of the fastest and most accurate pressbrakes available in the world. Even today it is still at the top of the list.
THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY…
In early 2020 we installed the Amada HG ATC. This took bending of production runs, protypes and one-offs to a whole new level. The ATC (automatic tool changer) is a game changer. While we love our operators and the hard work they commit to, the speed of set ups and accuracy of tool location from the ATC means repeat parts can be set up and into production faster than humanly possible. The Digipro digital protractor that is linked into the machine by infrared makes manual adjustment a breeze and increases angle accuracy.
All of our machines are linked directly to the office which provides easy transfer of data between the machine and our Amada bending software. This enables complicated parts to be stored and then reused with ease which will eliminate any unnecessary delays for repeat runs or basic components can be programmed at the controller and without delay.
An upgrade to the latest Amada bending software ensures we can offer advanced 3D modelling of parts which allows greater efficiencies for prototype parts and development.
WHAT SETS US APART FROM THE REST
We have some of the best equipment and operators in the country. We regularly do work that other sheetmetal companies struggle to consistently replicate. We have a number of methods to check accuracy and perform QA processes for customers to the highest level if needed. We can manufacture simple templates to check tolerances against, use dial-gauge checking frames right though to go-no-go gauges. We have the ability to check batches of components to an accuracy of +/- 0.2 deg and +/- 0.2mm dimensions.
Amada EGB-1303-ATC
The addition of the new Amada EGB-1303-ATC will allow us to produce a wider range of more complicated products with ease. The new back gauge design and triple fingers will allow us to bend components with curved or tapered edges without needing jigs or additional material that have to be removed later. This will reduce down-time and costs. It also features the new 4e controller with improved functions.
The all-electric press brake with 130-ton pressing force and 3-metre bending length no longer requires any hydraulic oil, is energy-efficient in operation and simple to set up and maintain. This gives a further reduction in down-time and maintenance, also allowing for
faster and more consistent folding.
The new ATC also has a larger tool library which greatly increases our capacity.

Amada Pressbrake EG-6013
The EG6013 is only 4 ft wide, but man it packs a punch! 60 ton of capacity in such a small machine takes care of the most difficult components. For anything under 1200mm in length, this is the machine for ultimate compact production.

WOW… just WOW. This machine is simply unbelievable. Amazing accuracy, amazingly fast set-ups. Amazing technology. While the machine is loading its tools into position, the operator is preparing the parts for production – dramatically reducing set-up times. The accuracy and repeatability of prototypes through to large production runs is very impressive.
Amada Pressbrake HG-1303
We can’t wait to add the HG-1303 to our already impressive line-up of top level pressbrakes. The recent upgrade to the AMNC 3i (intelligent, interactive, integrated) controller is focused on easier set up and higher production capabilities.
Adding another 130-ton 3-meter machine gives us more options for folding longer components increasing our fast turnarounds.
